Who We Are:
Buckminster Fuller Partners Foundation, LLC is a 501c3 foundation founded by Fuller’s partners, Shoji Sadao, Thomas T K Zung, and Shirley Sharkey. Sadao & Zung were Fuller’s architecture partners, and Sharkey was Bucky’s Executive Secretary. The BFP foundation board members include Joyce Burke-Jones and Tommy Zung, Great god-son of Bucky.
Our Mission
The purpose of the BFP foundation is to continue, and implement Fuller’s iconic inventions, to create an educational environment, assist in featuring Fuller’s ideas, and plan public exhibits. Lord Norman Foster, Pritzker Prize winning architect and student of Bucky said, “Buckminster Fuller is more relevant today than perhaps when he was alive, our Earth in such a fragile state. Fuller provides us options to make the world work in the shortest time possible with the least disruption to the environment. Bucky is more needed than ever.”
The Buckminster Fuller Partners mission: Ephemeralization, doing more with less. How can we make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest time possible, through spontaneous cooperation without ecological damage or disadvantage to anyone? With cooperation, education, technology and artifacts, man can do all he needs to do to sustain mankind aboard Spaceship Earth, the only home we know.
